WWE Elimination Chamber: Smackdown Has Filled Its Slots

Brittany AnsteadContributor IFebruary 5, 2010

As a lot of you may already know, tonight on Smackdown there were five matches to determine who would face Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship.  The five participants are John Morrison, R-Truth, Chris Jericho, Rey Mysterio, and CM Punk.  I, for one, applaud the WWE for putting two of the younger guys into the match (but there is not much of a chance for either of the younger guys winning).  If you haven't seen the new episode of Smackdown this will tell you how the five men qualified.

*John Morrison d. Drew McIntyre and Kane (pin over Kane).

*R-Truth d. Mike Knox by pinfall.

*CM Punk d. Batista by countout (Batista just climbed out of the ring and walked away with a smile on his face).

*Chris Jericho d. Matt Hardy by pinfall.

*Rey Mysterio d. Dolph Ziggler by pinfall.

Most people probably hope that John Morrison might pull an upset win at the Elimination Chamber PPV, but he might be one of the first people to get eliminated. Other people would be quick to say that either Punk, Jericho, Mysterio, or Undertaker will win.

But I hope that Morrison or Jericho wins because it would be cool to see if Edge decides to go after either one of these men and end up putting on some very incredible matches.  Feel free to comment on the article and leave your own opinions on who you think should win.

Here's to the Elimination Chamber PPV.  May it be better than the Royal Rumble.
