  1. As of a couple weeks ago, I was hearing that McFadden is stronger and faster in the open field than Adrian Peterson. Haven't been hearing that as much lately.

What are people's thoughts on Dixon's pro prospects?

  2. McFadden is coming off the most impressive individual performance in recent memory. He had been slowed down the previous 4 games with some bruised ribs but looked excellent vs. South Carolina.

He protects his body much more than Peterson, but can dole out the same kind of punishment Peterson does when he needs to. He is also definitely a step or two faster, and gets to his top gear more quickly.

It's quite a claim, especially in light of what Peterson has done, but I think McFadden is probably the best running back talent to enter the draft since Bo Jackson.

It's a number of things...the great production in a tough league, the versatility, the tremendous explosive tools, the blocking ability, the intangibles, and a wondrous knack for stepping up in big games

  3. Dixon is a prospect who started the season with a mid-late round grade and is now looking like a sure fire first day pick, with perhaps even the potential to move into the first round.

There's a lot to like in Dixon-plus, plus athleticism and mobility for a QB, plenty of arm, and a phenomenal 2007 campaign.

He's got quite a lanky frame, though, and isn't under center that often. Then again, the latter was one of the knacks on Vince Young.....
