So, at long last Flavio has come to his senses and left Queens Park Rangers. Since his take over with Bernie Ecclestone there was much promise of how this club could be a phoenix and rise from the ashes of recent history and become a great and proud club once again.

Alas this was not to be. Controversy over Formula 1 fixings and the ban which was later rescinded led to club unease. Also the idea of being able to meddle in the day to day running of the team and match day selections has led to a constant change of manager over the last 2 years.

A team at the start of the 2009/2010 season which was tipped to be a contender not only for promotion but also the Championship has over the last few months seen changing room conflict along with the sale of many of the squads finest players, now leaving the team is a much weakened situation than at the start of the season.

Now with Flavio gone the new Chairman, Board, Management and players at the club need to work together to bring a settled stability to the club, and to reassure the fans that the sale of the best players will stop and the team will secure status in the Championship, and if not too late, strive to a play-off position.

Will this come about? Well the next few weeks will tell, a win today was a good sign and hopefully it is not too late to reverse the recent decline and morale of the club.As a lifelong fan I ask just to see stability in the managerial role, the purchase or loan of strong and committed players to the club for the remainder of this season and into the future.
