Is it me or isn't this the second year in a row that a driver from Dale Earnhardt Inc. is going to drive for Hendrick Motorsports the very next season?

In 2007, Dale Earnhardt Jr. signed with Hendrick to replace Kyle Busch when he left for Joe Gibbs Racing and when Casey Mears moved over to the No. 5. They were able to change the number from No. 25 to No. 88.

It was announced yesterday that Mark Martin would race for Hendrick full time next season in the No. 5, replacing Casey Mears. Martin will race full time in 2009 to have a final shot of winning a championship and a partial schedule in 2010.

Speaking of DEI, Martin Truex Jr. and Paul Menard are on the bubble this year on where they will be driving in 2009.
