Nadal and Agassi Taking On Federer And Sampras at Indian Wells

Chadley UekmanCorrespondent IFebruary 25, 2010

The last time Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer played a tour match was at the Madrid Open in May of 2009.  Roger Federer won 6-4, 6-4 ending a five-match losing streak to Nadal, a stretch that included losses in the finals at Roland Garros, Wimbledon and Australia.  It also ended the two year streak of Federer losing in finals to Nadal.

At the Australian Open fundraiser “Hit for Haiti”, organized less than 24 hours, featured a slew of tennis stars including Nadal and Federer.  This was the first time since Madrid they squared off, but this time the rivalry was put on hold for a night of fun.

Pictures and video of the event can be seen here http://www.gototennisblog.com/2010/01/17/videos-roger-federer-and-friends-hit-for-haiti/

The BNP Paribas Open, the most attended tennis tournament in the world outside of the four major events, will hold its “Hit For Haiti” exhibition on the evening of Friday, March 12, 2010 that will feature Rafael Nadal, Andre Agassi, Roger Federer, and Pete Sampras with a combined total of 44 Grand Slam singles titles, and is expected to raise a minimum of $1 Million for Haiti relief efforts.  The event will be televised on Tennis Channel beginning at 7:30 PM PST.

This is will be a memorable event for a great cause and I am really looking forward to seeing the lighter, fun side of these great champions.  The matchup will feature Nadal and Agassi pairing up to face Federer and Sampras in a fantasy doubles match.

Which team is going to win the match?  Let the fun begin.
