JaMarcus Russell weighs in at 290 pounds.  Is anybody surprised?  Not many, that's for sure.  What I am surprised about are the descriptions of a big transformation.  Exactly how heavy was he last year, if 290 makes him look good?

It's sad really, it's a foregone conclusion that JaMarcus is destined to go down as the biggest bust in the last ten years.  I was one of the last fans who lost faith, but his comments just proved he is a knuckle-head to the nth degree.

Now there are rumors around that the Raiders are the favorites to pickup Donavon McNabb.  The deal of the century would be McNabb for Russell... yea I've got a sense of humor.

The deal is actually reported as McNabb for Asomugha, with or without an additional pick.

Considering the contract sizes, it's makes sense.  Unload a big contract to make room for a Quarterback that can actually move the ball and who else is offering the best Corner in the game?  Philly is never going to beat that deal.

More rumors indicated the Raiders didn't care about a contract extension.  That actually could work in their favor if the owners planned lockout busts the salary bubble.

What happens to JaMarcus Russell?  He plays for third-string money or he's out of football.  Can anyone out there name a single team who would offer him even third-string money?

Who could replace Asomugha?  Just to name one, how about New Orleans Safety Jerome Sharper at a fraction of the price: good speed and reacts to the ball well. Chould be an easy move for him.

There are others and the draft is just around the corner...
