Brown Standouts: Farnham and Morey Matchup

Hugh ShannonContributor IApril 18, 2010

Brown graduate Sean Morey was told he was too small and not fast enough for the NFL.

He is now entering his ninth NFL season and has been named a special teams Pro Bowler.

The 2010 All-Ivy Player of the Year and All-American, Buddy Farnham, turned in a spectacular season and career and had a stellar Pro Day workout. He has also been a special teams nightmare for opposing teams, adding another 2,000 return and all-purpose yards to his receiving totals during his collegiate career.

Let's look at both of these outstanding Brown Bear products and see how they match up.

Buddy Farnham
6'0" 194 lbs.
40 time: 4.48-4.65
Career: 229 rec., 2,895 yds. 27 TDs
2009 Ivy Player of the Year
74 rec., 1,003 yds., 11 TDs

Sean Morey (Drafted seventh round, 241st pick)
5'11" 193 lbs.
40 time: 4.60
Career: 251 rec., 3,850 yds., 40 TDs
1997 Ivy Player of the Year
74 rec., 1,434 yds., 15 TDs

I would not be surprised to see Buddy Farnham in the NFL and following in the footsteps of Sean Morey next season.
