TPJ: Is It Ric Flair, Macho Man or Hulk Hogan? No! Try TNA's Jay

Mike AKA the ProfessorCorrespondent IMay 14, 2010

Whether it is the “Black Machismo”, his virtual cloning of the “Macho Man” Randy  Savage or a cornrow topped, Chocolate Brown duplicate of the Nature Boy Ric Flair,  Jay Lethal is The TNA Impressionist Extraordinaire.

In his brilliant rendition of the Nature Boy Ric Flair, I saw an amazingly talented Pro wrestler/ Performer with an ability to rival the great impressionist Legendary Rich Little seen here, or the master impressionist Andre Philippe Gagnon found here

As for the Man, TNA's Copycat King, the one the only, Jay Lethal (Jamar Shipman) Please, Just check out these clips, of his performances, courtesy of YouTube then click them again, but just close your eyes and try to tell if this is really Ric Flair  , The Macho Man Randy Savage or the incomparable Jay Lethal seen here

This amazing young man,who at just 25 years of age, is a very gifted, athletic actor / entertainer. His in ring ability is definitely on par with the current crop of young up and coming performers. Where he excels is in area of imitation.

It is said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.  If this is the case, then people like Macho Man Randy Savage, the Nature Boy Ric Flair and anyone else he chooses, should feel very flattered indeed, for Jamar Shipman AKA Jay Lethal, is a mimic of extraordinary skillfulness.

I have been watching wrestling, for many, many years and this is one act, which is just phenomenal. Oh sure we've seen DX impersonate Vince and Shane McMahon and it was a very funny spoof indeed! Or what about Randy Orton and Edge doing their take, on the DX duo of Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

Good for improv from WWE Creative, but both needed their respective characterizations, to be visual, with props and were very easily seen through! None had the ability, to trick the senses, like the ones done by Jay Lethal. The degree of perfection with which Jamar, does his portrayals, is a thing of beauty and his timing is spot on.

If you were only able to hear his performances, then you would doubt you ears. Yes He is That Good and if I sound like I am very impressed that's Because
I AM!!

With this talented young man on their roster, how can TNA still not garner better ratings? Surely this is an area of real superiority that their creative team, could use to their greatest advantage.

Is he the"Macho Man"? No!! He  is better!! Why? His version is without the hangups and the ego! Is he the Nature Boy Ric Flair?  No! He is the new 2.0 revised version. Still with All of the Styling and the Profiling, but without the Age and the Ego to match!

And that is just these ones, that we've seen him  do. Imaging a copy of “The Rock” D'Wayne Johnson, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, “Mr Perfect” Curt Henning or Ricky”the Dragon” Steamboat! Just Imaging the possibilities like mini Brown Hulk Hogan with much better wrestling moves or The Late Great Eddie Guerrero, with us once more.

All these and more, could be possible with one man's talent and he is the Incredible, Jay Lethal, TNA's,  the Pro Wrestling Impersonator!!
