In what many thought will be a silent transfer window for Arsenal due to Arsene Wenger's shwerd ways, Arsenal have been the most active in England.

The window was meant for Arsenal to fend off bids from Barcelona for Fabregas, keep Arshavin quiet, and maybe Gael Clichy.

Marouane Chamakh's signing was all but confirmed, and maybe Arsene Wenger was scouting a goal keeper and a defender under the radar.

In the past few days, a strong rumor has emerged in England about Arsenal signing Joe Cole, offerring him a three year deal.

There are so many positives from this deal if it manifests, with Arsenal in a win-win situation.

First, Arsenal can save money as usual by signing Joe Cole on a free transfer that adds him to already acquired Marouane Chamakh.

Its no secret that Arsene Wenger likes bargain buys, with him building his squad around bargain buys like Fabregas, Van Persie, Wiliam Gallas, and Alex Song.

The only big signings he made was the recent acquisition of record transfer Andrei Arshavin for £16m.

A free signing like Joe Cole could help Arsenal regulate money to other positions.

Also, Arsenal reportedly have £ 40m to spend, with two free attacking players, things are certainly looking good early in the window.

Things might certainly be falling into place for the London based side, and they can look to sign defenders with the transfer kitty and strengthen for a new season.

If Arsene Wenger can confirm the Joe Cole signing, maybe Fabregas can stay at least one more season provided more top players are signed.

Joe Cole is a very talented player who could play as a Supporting Striker, Attacking Midfielder, and Winger. He has an eye for goal and is very dangerous with the ball, he passes well, and like most Arsenal players, can dribble on the ball.

Here is a stunner from the Englishman
