NHL: Top 50 Free Agents in 2010

To give everyone an idea of who the top free agents available are, I went out and found a good list to share with everyone.

There really aren’t a lot of top free agents available this off-season.

The list starts off with a bang at no. one, but drops off quickly after that before it falls off a cliff.

I think some of the top defensemen are of better quality than the forwards, but the Rangers don’t look like they are in the market for a top defenseman unless they are truly planning on doing something with Wade Redden or Michal Rozsival .

Vinny Prospal makes this list at no. 34 and a couple of former Rangers, Manny Malhotra, Matt Cullen, Derek Morris, Kim Johnsson, and Dominic Moore, also made the list. Except for Prospal, I don’t see the Rangers interested in any of those players however.

There are a few names on this list that interest me, but it really depends on how coach John Tortorella plans to use them before I would advocate the Rangers signing.
