TRG Motorsports has announced Rolex Series racer Andy Lally will pilot the #71 Chevrolet on June 27th at the New Hampshire International Raceway.

Many NASCAR fans do not know much about Andy as he has has made 1 NASCAR Sprint Cup start; which was at Watkins Glen, 3 NASCAR Nationwide Series starts, and 13 Camping World Truck Series starts.

Lally grew up on Long Island, in New York and as he said "I’ve been into racing all my life. From a very young age I had an interest in racing anything with wheels that I could get my hands on. Even some things without wheels."

Lally will be teaming up with TRG's Crew Chief Dan Stillman as he make's his first ever oval start in the top two major NASCAR Series.

When asked about who has helped him most in his career Lally said "TRG Motorsports has certainly helped me most in my NASCAR career. Thanks to the investors in that team and Kevin Buckler I was able to do a lot of racing. They just never had the budget to go full time and we have not found a sponsor yet."

Keeping a sponsor is one of the many keys to success in NASCAR, and as Lally said; TRG Motorsports is still searching for a sponsor. Even with 2000 champion Bobby Labonte behind the wheel The Racers Group was still bitten by the recession and could not find a sponsor.

We'll see how this week goes, and maybe we will get to see Andy Lally race more in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series as his website says "Future plans for additional races are still being worked out."
