SS : Well, Robbie Keane, Liverpool's newest signing, thanks for joining us.

RB : "Yes, thanks for having me."

SS : So, Robbie how does it feel to be a part of Liverpool?

RB : "It means a hell of a lot to me, I've said it before, I've been waiting for this day since I was a kid. Everyone knows I am a massive Liverpool fan, so to be sitting here today in a Liverpool tracksuit is a dream come true."

SS : How did you come to know of Liverpool's interest in you?

RB : "Actually, it was the end of season, Tony (Keane's agent) had told me that Liverpool were interested in signing me. Spurs didn't know about it till the interest became public, which is why they haven't been too happy about it."

SS : Do you think Tottenham's allegations of being betrayed are just?

RB : "I haven't talked to Daniel Levy personally and I'm not in a position to answer that question, but I do not think I let Spurs down, I had six fantastic seasons there and gave them everything since day one and I have to thank everybody at the club—the chairman to the fans—for understanding why I moved."

SS : You were full of praise for Fernando Torres in the conference, do you think he can be suitable partner for you?

RB : "He has been a revelation since he came to the Premier League. He was absolutely outstanding last year and also in the Euros with Spain. I will just continue what I did for Tottenham, but I think he's the best there is".

SS : What do you make of Rafael Benitez as a manager?

RB : "He is a fantastic manager and has done a lot for Liverpool Football Club."

SS : Do you think Spurs were being unfair in trying to prevent you and Dimitar Berbatov from leaving the club?

RB : "I'm not disappointed [with Daniel Levy] because you have to understand that as a club they have to look after themselves and I appreciate that. As for Dimi (Berbatov), he's a close friend, I think he wants to move too but I believe he must wait for them to get adequate replacements."

SS : Robbie, I know you just answered this question inside but what does the No. 7 jersey mean for you?

RB : "To wear that shirt is an honour, and something I truly understand. If I can have half as much success in it as Keegan and Dalglish did, I will be a happy man."

SS : Do you think Liverpool can challenge the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea in the Premier League now?

RB :"I certainly do think we can challenge Manchester United and Chelsea but we need a good start, it's important to hit the ground running"

That wraps it up for now, that was Robbie the Red for you. Until next time, have a look at some older interviews.

P.S. I may be out of the footy loop right now, but if you got any Roundtable discussions floating about, I'll contribute again. Oh yeah, I'm going to Wembley for the community shield, can't wait.
