I'm not seriously saying make Johan a relief pitcher, but have you noticed his 1st inning era?  It's 6.95!!  His era from the second inning on, an impressive 2.50.  Since the mets want to move Takahashi to the bullpen, how about have him pitch the first inning, and then bring Santana in for the rest of the game.  This is just humor, i'm not being serious.  But his first inning era is ridiculous.

He is a great pitcher who should have more wins than he has, but when you have an era that high in the first inning, it's hard to win games. I don't care who you are.
