LAS VEGAS, NV-Only one man can make this work for all of us to see the Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather fight: Don King.

Yes, Don King. He is the master of our lifetime at making the biggest fights happen. I happen to be very close to the situation and only King and Arum can make this work. They are the Masters, the top promoters ever.

I wish I could tell you more, but let's just say that the two camps are very intertwined to make this happen, and that "Golden Boy" is out of the loop on this one. The friends and associates of both fighters have several commonalities when Don King is in the picture.

Many people working behind the scenes, the reach that Oscar De La Hoya doesn't have, is the people you never read about or even hear about around boxing who know both fighters. Oscar has been so shielded around his own people that he has no grasp of what is happening on the streets of Las Vegas. That's too bad because his people need to get him out more to the real shakers and movers in the industry.

Let's just say this will work if Don King is involved. Otherwise, I just don't think Arum and Oscar can get it done, nor do my associates around the fighters. Arum and King are long friendly rivals and know what it is to put on the biggest shows of our lives.

Hey, here's a friendly toast to Don King and Bob Arum. Now get it done! :)

9/18/2010-Scrap that idea Floyd is in some legal issues now in Las Vegas.
