Young Lions Cup VIII card announced!

In what is expected to be a few hot night of wrestling. CHIKARA has officially announced the final card for the Young Lions Cub VIII. This is always an exciting tournament, so if there is any time to give CHIKARA a shot, it's now.

I personally can’t wait to see Kaio vs. Josh Pain, but there are other great matches in store for this year’s show. If you can’t get a ticket, I would highly recommend checking it out on the net if you can. Here is the lineup for this year’s Lions Cup.

ROH takes a step in the right direction

Over the last couple of years I have been a little critical of ROH. I couldn’t help but be bothered that they let their top talent like Tyler Black, Nigel McGuiness, and Danielson get away. They do have a reputation for replacing talent, but I can’t help thinking that if they kept them they would be better off.

Well I was happily surprised to see that ROH resigned the Briscoes. They are a ROH staple that they could not afford to lose. Let’s just hope this is a trend we see continue in the future. It can only help ROH if they actually keep their talent.

They have also signed some new talent. Recently, ROH came to terms with CZW’s Adam Cole and Mike Bennett. These two should offer a helping hand to the organization. I look forward to seeing them in the near future.

The  Flair bothers are going Lucha

David and Reid Flair, sons of HOF Ric Flair, are scheduled to appear on Lucha Libre USA on Saturday, August 28 in Charlotte. They are taking place in a sons of legends match with David managing Reid. It should be interesting how Reid’s style matches up with the Lucha Libre style of wrestling.

Here is what Reid said in regards to the appearance.

“It’s an honor to make my national television pro wrestling debut on Lucha Libre USA Masked Warriors,” Reid Flair said in a release. “Lucha Libre is all about tradition and heritage. Pro wrestling has meant the same in the Flair family my entire life.

“For weeks I’ve heard about how Tinieblas Jr. believes his father is the most legendary and respected luchador/pro wrestler in the history of our business. David and I take great exception to that. I look forward to facing Tinieblas Jr., and we’ll find out then, who the better second generation wrestler is. I can tell you one thing; our hometown of Charlotte will definitely be on our side.”
