The New England Patriots could be adding another veteran to their roster.
The Denver Post reported on its Web site Wednesday that the veteran safety visited with the New England Patriots this week and is scheduled to take a physical for the team.
A nine-time Pro Bowl selection over 15 NFL seasons, Lynch has compiled 740 tackles and 26 interceptions in 224 games with the Denver Broncos (four seasons) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (11 seasons).

John Lynch asked for his release about two weeks ago, because the Broncos were going to give him less playing time.
In four seasons with the Broncos, Lynch had 271 tackles, 9 forced fumbles and 3 interceptions.
John Lynch is going to be 37 years old next month, but the Patriots do need some help in the secondary.
They need the help since they lost Tank Williams went down for the season with a knee injury
Let's just see if another veteran signing will work for the New England Patriots.

With all the injuries the Pats have had I'd welcome Lynch, he might be old but Belichick has a good track record of getting just enough out of guys who supposedly didn't have anything left.

Great scoop, Jake. Glad to see someone interested in Lynch's services. But would rather it be another team and not the Patriots.

As a Broncos fan I love Lynch. But he's done. He was done 2 years ago. He just cannot make the same plays on a consistent basis anymore. He's pretty good vs the run, but he simply cannot turn and run anymore. Maybe NE will play him 10-15 plays and he'll be ok, but I don't see this working out well.
