Head To Head: Dimitar Berbatov Vs Klass Jan Huntelaar..."Who's Your Man?"

Salaar ShamsiSenior Writer IAugust 13, 2008

The past few weeks have seen quite few number of "series" coming into play, It started with Salaar Shamsi's "Rules of Journalism" and "Who's The Best In The Premier League?" Followed by Zahi Sahli's "Have Your Say," "Rumors and Realities" and "B/R Interactive," Shyam Parthsarathi's "Rivals' Views," Barney Corkhill's "Player Duels" and "A Tribute To..." and Jonathan Marum's "Greatest Rivalries" amongst others.

Keeping the spirit alive, I've come out with another series titled "Head to Head."

Manchester United are being linked to two strikers, Tottenham's Dimitar Berbatov and Ajax's Klaas Jan Huntelaar. The Red Devils are now on the verge of bringing the Bulgarian to Old Trafford but certain United supporters feel they should go for the Dutchman instead.

I'll compare the two lads and leave it up to you, to select the winner and check out Ashutosh D's creativity with the picture, "Who's The Man?"

Dimitar Berbatov

Dimitar Berbatov has an amazing first touch besides his ability to score goals regularly. He started out his career at CSK Sofia scoring 25 goals in 50 appearances. He left the club for Bayer Leverkusen where he struck the back of the net around 70 times in double the appearances.

Eventually, Spurs came calling and he has been a revelation at White Hart Lane for the past couple of seasons, Berbatov has quick feet, great control, pace and a shooting ability which is hard to match.

Klaas Jan Huntelaar

From PSV to Heerenveen to Ajax, Huntelaar has been a part of Dutch domestic football for all of his career which is why it isn't easy to say whether he could repeat his performances at home in England, Spain, Germany or Italy.

Having said that, Huntelaar is a gem of a player, goals come naturally to him.

Huntelaar is a striker who plays as a centre forward, or an "out-and-out" striker, rather than as a supporting striker. He has a good technical ability and can score goals with his head and with either foot.

He has 96 goals in 116 appearances for the Dutch giants.

So, I'm leaving it up to you, Head to Head... "Who's Your Man?"
