Mr. Bean the beloved character of most kids, including my nephew Jhanak a.k.a. Nandu, is seen here making his debut on the Formula One race track. Here I see him in Valencia making his mark...

Scene 1: A few seconds to the race start time yet. Felipe Massa is fine tuning his setup and is all revved up to best the field.

Mr. Bean makes his entry. He walks before Massa a few times. Felipe Massa looks at him. Mr. Bean puts on a sad face. Felipe Massa smiles at him. Mr. Bean sticks out his tongue, wags it, and then wags his finger at him. Massa is dumbstruck. He does not know what has hit him.

Scene 2: The race is set to start. Before the official start, Mr. Bean's Mini has a mind of its own and it races off. The race stewards call it back. It comes back, again it restarts, and still again. The race steward glares at it and asks Mr. Bean to step out. The Mini refuses to open its doors and let Mr. Bean out.

Scene 3: The race starts. Mr. Bean starts to race. A few laps later, all the cars pass Mr. Bean.

Scene 4: Mr. Bean turns around his car and runs it in an counter-clockwise direction. Felipe Massa and Lewis Hamilton both come in front of the car. They look at Mr. Bean as though he is a madman. The team radios of both McLaren and Ferrari are blaring to avoid Mr. Bean. Heikki Kovalainen nearly misses hitting Mr. Bean.

Scene 5: Kimi Raikkonen comes in front of Mr. Bean. Mr. Bean looks at him balefully. Kimi is all ice. Both of them duel for not letting each other off. Kimi is forced to back up and must reverse.

Scene 6: Kimi hits Adrian Sutil in the front while reversing to avoid Mr. Bean.

Scene 7: Kimi's car ends up in the pit stops where the stunned Ferrari mechanic hurries to Kimi's aid.

Scene 8: A few laps later, Kimi's car has engine trouble. Mr. Bean is still running counter-clockwise while all other cars are going clockwise.

Scene 9: In trying not to collide with Mr. Bean, all cars including Massa's and Hamilton's are forced to run wide and slow.

Scene 10: Mr. Bean completes his laps.

Scene 11: Mr. Bean jumps out of his car. The race stewards surround him.

Scene 12: The FIA is yet to announce the race winner and delays its announcement.

Scene 13: The FIA declares Mr. Bean as the winner of the race but they fine his Mini. The penalty awarded to the Mini is...TO CHANGE ITS COLORS!

    1. Thank you Thomas, my 6 yr. old nephew does too :-) he does not let me change channels even for a race when Mr.Bean is on TV

  7. Note: The ending was either to fine the Mini to change its colors - or to fine all other drivers cause they are all going clockwise. Which do you think is better?

  9. Pretty funny stuff Sara, got to love Bean. You could turn it into a series, Bean goes NASCAR, followed by Bean qualifies for Indy, Bean's going Rolexing and got to have one about Bean goes dirting.

    1. What a great idea SM, Mr. Napier sir, my Indy knowledge is pretty rudimentary, so guess I would jolly well love to see you or whoever you feel is suitable for it to do it. Great idea! I truly would love to see Mr.Bean in a stock car. Looking forward to you taking up the next article in this series S.M. - please, pretty please :-)

  10. Hilarious.

    1. :-) smile Salaar
