The Possibility of a New Dennis Rodman Could Be a Nightmare for the NBA

Dennis Rodman is known for being the 6'8" dynamo, but not much of an all-star. Let's just say he was an unpredictable player!

He would play the game, but might decide to rough up opponents and get in their face a little. Rodman was known for picking fights with others and bringing a bad taste to Michael Jordan's mouth, too.

Rodman seemed to find a way to make himself known to the crowd despite not being much of a shooter (he was a horrible free-throw shooter, contributing to the fact he scored fewer than 10 points per game most of the time). He picked fights and was known for his unusual sense of style, hair color, and hardcore attitude on the court.

The reason why I ask if there will be another player who will be known as the next Dennis Rodman, which would be the biggest insult to any NBA player ever, is because other comparisons between present and past players exist, too.

LeBron James has been described on occasion as the next Jordan. Current Boston Celtics player Glen "Big Baby" Davis has been known to be the next Shaquille O'Neal (or "Baby Shaq," at least). Nate Robinson is inching closer and closer to becoming the next Spud Webb.

So the reason why I say this is because new players can be influenced by past players.

So will this infamous player have a seed in another new player to come? Let's hope not; this guy was too much to handle during his time! Lets just hope and pray that there will be only one Dennis Rodman.

  1. There already is one. His name is Ron Artest.

    1. other then Ron Artest.
im talkin about a guy being drafted in the NBA.
      im not talkin about Artest.
he is passed the level of being like Dennis Rodman!
im talkin about a guy who is comin from College or High School in the NBA,

  2. You must be totally ignorant to be insulting Dennis Rodman like this. His focus was defense; his usual assignment on court was to neutralize the best players on the opposing team. I'm pretty sure no one else has broken his record for winning the Best Defensive Player of the Year twice. Don't forget about his multiple rebounding titles--seven consecutive I think.

His role on offense was huge too, grabbing offensive rebounds all over. Or do you not care about the crucial second-chance shots? I mean, it's not like Rodman's offensive rebounds helped Michael Jorden and Scotty Pippen win three championship rings or anything...oh I forgot to mention, Rodman left the league with five rings.

As for his eccentricities, well it's not like he was nurtured like a normal spoiled dumbshit kid. If you faced the same type of identity crisis as he did, I doubt you'd be able to acheive as much as he did in the NBA.
