Before his fight with Rashad Evans at UFC 88 on Saturday night, Chuck Liddell's goal was to capture the Light Heavyweight Title once again. The former champ said in an interview before the fight that he was going to knock Evans out. Once the two stepped into the octagon it was a different story. In the first round they both landed some good punches, but at the end of the round it seemed that Liddell received most of the damage, with a small cut under his right eye. In the second round Liddell looked a little frustrated and started stalking Evans around the octagon. Chuck then threw a left upper cut and at the same time Evans threw a quick over hand right, but
Evans' punch got to it's target faster knocking Liddell out cold. Suddenly everything went silent and everyone in the audience was in shock. Although Chuck getting his belt back might take a little longer than expected, it is far from impossible. As for Evans coming off of this huge upset win, is now (17-0-1) inside the octagon, and he is now classified as one of elite contenders for the title. It has been said that Evans will fight Forrest Griffin in Griffin's first title defense. If Evans takes the title, Liddell could possibly meet Evans in the octagon for the belt. But for that to happen Evans must first win the title, and Liddell needs to win a few fights in impressive fashion. Evans was a huge underdog in this fight. It would be interesting to see the odds of Evans defeating Liddell again. Liddell vs. Evans II? That would be extremely entertaining to watch.
if chuck wins all of his fights up to that point, no matter what his age is. he'll deserve it. look at randy couture, he's 45. he dominated tim silvia when he was 44.

No way this match deserves a rematch. I don't see anything happening different if they fought again, because Chuck will be 39 at that point.
