NBA Trade Rumors: Updates on Who Could Be Traded to Your Favorite Team
The rumors of who could be traded are endless and with the trade deadline approaching rapidly, expect to hear a lot more.
Whether it be Devin Harris, Carl Landry or Caron Butler, there will be many more trades. Read on to hear all the latest updates on multiple trades. I will continue to update as soon as I hear news.
Deron Williams has been traded to the New Jersey Nets for Devin Harris and Derrick Favors.
Included are all the updates for the major and minor trades that have occurred.
Deron Williams has just been traded to the New Jersey Nets for Devin Harris and Derrick Favors. The deal also includes the Golden State Warriors and reportedly will send multiple draft picks and cash to Utah.
As promised, here are the updates on this trade: New Jersey will also send Troy Murphy to Golden State for Brandan Wright and Dan Gadzuric. The picks that will be sent to Utah are most likely the Nets' 2011 first round draft pick and Golden State's protected 2012 first rounder.
Gerald Wallace has been on the block for some time now and it seems a deal is in place to have Wallace shipped to Portland.
The Portland Trailblazers are reportedly very close to closing the deal on a trade for Gerald Wallace. Rumoredly, Andre Miller and Marcus Camby will be included in this trade. I'll update more when I hear more.
Reportedly Michael Jordan has gotten cold feet and this deal is in danger of not going through.
Forget all other news, Wallace has been traded to the Portland Trailblazers in exchange for two first round draft picks, center Joel Pryzbilla, and Dante Cunningham.
Kirk Hinrich and Co.
The Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards pulled of a trade last night that included guard Mike Bibby.
The Hawks sent Mike Bibby, Jordan Crawford, Maurice Evans, and their 2011 first rounder to the Wizards in exchange for Kirk Hinrich and Hilton Armstrong.
This infuses new blood in a struggling Atlanta team and gives Washington more tools for their rebuilding process.
Kendrick Perkins, Jeff Green, Nate Robinson, and Co.
This trade came out of no where and should drastically change the landscape of the NBA.
Boston sent Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Jeff Green and Nenad Kristic.
Boston also sent Semih Erden and Luke Harangody to the Cleveland Cavaliers for a second round draft choice.
Oklahoma City also sent Morris Peterson and D.J. White to the Charlotte Bobcats for center Nazr Mohammed.
Boston also sent Marquis Daniels to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for a second round draft choice. But the wrinkle is that Daniels can veto this trade, and most likely will do so.
Aaron Brooks and Goran Dragic
The Houston Rockets and Phoenix Suns pulled of a surprising trade at the deadline.
Houston sent Aaron Brooks to the Suns in exchange for Goran Dragic and a lottery protected first round draft choice.
Baron Davis was just sent packing to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Clippers sent Davis and their 2011 first rounder to the Cavs for Mo Williams and Jamario Moon.
This is one of the more surprising trades so far, other than the Deron Williams blockbuster, because Davis was widely considered to have an "unmovable" contract.
Shane Battier and Hasheem Thabeet
It appears like the Houston Rockets are close to sending Shane Battier back to the Memphis Grizzlies.
The rumored deal is Battier to Memphis for center Hasheem Thabeet and a pick. It's not official but it's looking like it'll get done by the deadline.
The above mentioned deal has been agreed upon and the pick is a first round draft choice.
Jonny Flynn's name has heated up as the day goes by and he could be headed to the Houston Rockets.
Rumors are that he could be traded for some package that would include either Jared Jeffries or Aaron Brooks and some draft picks.
No word on if this deal is for real. I'll update when I hear more.
Andre Miller and Marcus Camby
Reports are that both Miller and Camby will be headed to the Charlotte Bobcats in a deal for Gerald Wallace. When specifics are released I will update this scenario.
Devin Harris has been one of the hottest names in the past couple days and should be a hot commodity in the next 24 hours. Possible Destinations for Harris include Dallas, Portland or maybe even the Nuggets. Dallas and Portland have been very involved in trade talks for Harris and are considered the front runners to land the former all star point guard.
Dallas is very interested but has balked at the Nets reported offer of Harris for Caron Butler, Dominique Jones and a first rounder; they have also cited that they would rather not give up two assets for Harris.
Portland has reportedly offered Andre Miller for Harris but the problem is the other players who are involved. The teams can't find common ground on those players.
Denver is a lesser known possible destination and is willing to part with Raymond Felton. They could trade Felton and other pieces to the Nets for Harris.
Scrap all other rumors, Devin Harris has just been traded along with Derrick Favors to the Utah Jazz for Deron Williams.
Troy Murphy has been long rumored to be on his way out of New Jersey and might finally get his wish.
Reports are that the Nets are close to an agreement to send Murphy to the Golden State Warriors. The Nets would receive Brandan Wright and Dan Gadzuric in exchange for Murphy and a second round pick. Murphy would then be bought out by the Warriors and would become a free agent.
The above reported deal has been agreed upon and is official.
Teams who could be interested in Murphy include the Magic, the Heat and the Celtics.
Carl Landry's name has heated up in the last 24 hours and the latest report is that he should be headed to the New Orleans Hornets.
Landry will reportedly be shipped to the Hornets for Marcus Thornton and cash. It is almost a done deal and should be finalized very soon.
The above mentioned deal is official.
Caron Butler has been injured since January 1st with a partially torn patella tendon in his right knee and has been on the trade block ever since. He has a $10.5 million expiring contract and would provide financial help for any team who needs it.
He has been rumored to be on the move to such teams as the Charlotte Bobcats, New Jersey Nets and many other teams who could use cap relief.
Recently Butler tweeted, "I aint going no where."
It's looking like Butler will be staying put in Dallas.
The Miami Heat are rumored to have started asking around to see if they could get either a point guard or center in return for the sharp-shooting Mike Miller.
There seems to not be much interest in Miller and he came out today saying, " I expect to be here. Unless they can get Dwight Howard or somebody like that."
It seems very unlikely he will be moved.
We've all heard the O.J. Mayo trade rumors but Zach Randolph is the dark horse from the Grizzlies who could be traded.
Zach Randolph is one of the most consistent big men in the league and could be on the move. Rumors are that the Orlando Magic offered Brandon Bass and Jason Richardson to Memphis for Randolph.
No word yet on whether this was actually proposed.
