Rumors were flying this weekend that Brock Lesnar sustained a hamstring strain during training and would be forced to pull out of his Nov. 15 UFC 91 heavyweight title fight against Randy Couture, but it turned out the whole thing was a prank played on Kim Couture.

  • B/R Ticket Guide

If the rumor had been true, then UFC 91 was about to look even more lackluster, as the Rampage Jackson vs. Wanderlei Silva fight has already been removed from the card. This would have made Kenny Florian vs. Joe Stevenson the main event, unless some bigger names were to be found on relatively short notice.

  1. Turns out someone pretended to be Lorenzo Fertitta and called Kim Couture with the news. Funny/not funny.

Feel free to delete this article since I can't figure out how to do it.

    1. No reason to delete it now, huh? :-)

    2. We'll see...

It wouldn't be the first time a fighter's camp used "no comment" to cover something up

  2. Not at all funny! Why would anyone do this to poor Kim! Just reading this made me feel worse.

  3. My heart sank when I heard the first report of this early on Saturday morning. I'm relieved that it was a hoax.

  4. I bet Randy jumped for joy when he heard he might not have to fight Brock.
