The Week Six edition of the Bleacher Creature poll is full of surprises.

The top four teams did a bit of reshuffling, South Florida dropped 11 spots after losing to Pitt, while Auburn fell only seven spots after its second loss. Ohio State's win over Wisconsin was enough to push the Buckeyes past Florida and only five points behind Georgia, and Michigan State jumped six spots and makes its first top-20 appearance this season.

The Big 12 is the current king of the conferences, with four top-10 teams and six teams in the top 25. Close on the heels of the Big 12 is the ever-present SEC, with three top-10 teams and six in the top 25.

  1. WOW!! My poll must just be wildly different from all of the rest of you as I have no Idea how wisky has 2 times as many votes as ND when Wisky has lost 2 in a row and looked not so good doing so. I was going to say our top tens are way off but really it's all way off to me, to each his own. P.S. tell Chase Daniel that rumar has it OSU plans to pass gas in his general direction...My Ballot:
    1) Oklahoma
    2)LSU
    3)Texas
    4)Penn State
    5)BYU
    6)Alabama
    7)Mizzou
    8)Tulsa
    9) Utah
    10)Boise
    11)Texas Tech
    12)Oklahoma State
    13)Ball State
    14) Virginia Tech
    15)Vandy
    16)USC
    17) Ohio State
    18)Kansas
    19)Georgia
    20)Florida
    21)Wake Forest
    22)Michigan State
    23)Northwestern
    24) Cal
    25)Notre Dame

    1. Mitch,

You, Lisa and myself are on that Ball State bandwagon! I've got em' at 15!

  2. Nice...but come on people! Give Wisconsin a break...and put Northwestern in the Top 25. Also, move Kansas down, they aren't good. Just because they won doesn't mean they should move up, especially since they should've lost and they barely won. Boise State is not good, and they play nobody...but nobody will listen to me and Boise continues to move up.

Also...how does Tulsa get more Top 25 votes than Northwestern? I'm surprised that more people didn't drop Kansas or put in Northwestern.

    1. Northwestern hasn't really beaten anybody yet. They've got their biggest test of the year this saturday.

    2. Now, Issac, Tulsa might be better than Nortwestern. I can see Tulsa going far this year.

    3. Maybe Northwestern doesn't play anybody, but who does Tulsa play? Also, I highly doubt Tulsa is better than Northwestern, but either way, either Northwestern or both of them should be in the Top 25. If Tulsa is better, than they should be in the Top 25, but so should Northwestern. What good team has Florida played so far? They lost to Ole Miss. Who does Boise State play, if you want to go that far. The Big 10 is better than the WAC, and I think beating Iowa is better than beating UL Lafayette. Many teams in that Top 25 haven't played anyone yet, so why isn't an undefeated Northwestern team in?

  3. Wow Mitch, you must think VERY highly of Ball State.

    1. Oklahoma
    2. Alabama
    3. Missouri
    4. Texas
    5. Penn State
    6. LSU
    7. BYU
    8. Texas Tech
    9. USC
    10. Georgia
    11. Vanderbilt
    12. Florida
    13. Ohio State
    14. Utah
    15. Boise State
    16. South Florida
    17. Michigan State
    18. Virginia Tech
    19. Kansas
    20. Auburn
    21. UNC
    22. Wake Forest
    23. Ball State
    24. Pitt
    25. Northwestern

I'm very wary of Northwestern as their best win so far is a .500 Iowa team that keeps making dumb mistakes. If they win this weekend, they'll jump into my top 20.

Gotta give Pitt some respect for a win over a talented USF squad, as well.

Wisconsin has looked terrible two weeks in a row. Their offense is almost as bad as Michigan's. And Kansas almost embarrassed themselves this week, so despite the win, they drop a couple of spots from where I've had them.

    1. About time we see some love for Pitt!

  4. Interesting as always Kristofer! Can't really say much since my vote was in there, but if you want reasonings behind my rankings you can check out my latest article:
