  1. I'm not a mod, or a site manager, but I think the idea is to produce articles, not one-line proclamations. Just a thought. I mean, perhaps revising your "article" by providing a few concrete justifications for your claim? I don't know... I'm just rambling.

    1. i know what your saying i was just tired of reading articles that put sixers in the top 2 of eastren confrence and i will add justifications when i write my season preview on sunday or monday be sure to check it out

  2. Well in all fairness, if Brand can stay healthy, I don't know how you say the Raptors are a better team. At this point in his career, I believe that JO and Dalembert are very close in terms of their productivity. In fact, with Bargnani and Bosh, hell, Daly might even be a better fit. But fine, O'Neal has a SLIGHT edge (and when you see his full offensive game, you'll agree that the edge is very very slight) , I'm going to say that a healthy Brand is actually a better player than Chris Bosh. If I say that Young/Iggy are leaps and bounds better than any wing player the Raptors have had in 3 years, and that Miller is every bit as good as Calderon, you can see the reason for optimism in Philli. To further the point, they also have a better coach. So... are Andrea Bargnani, Kris Humphries, Kapono, Ukic, and company THAT much better than Green, Lou Williams, Theo Ratliff, Speights, and Jason Smith? .... mmm I don't think so. I'm a Raptor fan, but you're going to have to accept that as of this moment, the Sixers as the second best team in the East on paper. I'm personally tired of people sleeping on Brand. If the guy was 6'11, he'd be considered a better player than Garnett. Well news flash- he has long arms and no neck, so his being 6'8ish doesn't stop him from being more of a big man than any big in the east not named Dwight Howard. I would argue that when Rasho was at his best last year (15-17 points per contest, 7-8 rebounds it seemed), he was about as good by numbers as an average O'Neal.

With both teams you have to take a wait-see approach- because I seriously feel that Both teams were a little quick, and they both added essentially the same player. It just so happens that the Raptors traded for O'Neal while the Sixers signed Brand. To further the point, Brand's a better rebounder, and post player than O'neal, and they're both pretty equal in the shot blocking department. In fact, if you dealt O'Neal for Brand right now, the Raptors would actually have a shot at winning a title if Brand could stay healthy. People really don't realize how "good" Jermaine O'Neal is. Some people think they got a slightly injury-prone Garnett or Duncan here.. he was never good enough to be put on that level. His ultimate presence will be felt on defense, and the offense... well its just not what it was 3 years ago. He's a high post jump shooter who occasionally posts up.. and usually both combine to produce his 43 FG%. So would you rather not have a Brand who shoots well in the high fifties, and plays more down low? I think the Raptors and Sixers need to work a trade out. Because its just 2 high post guys vs two low post guys for the sixers. I'll tell you what though- I watched the Sixers/Boston game... you ain't driving in that paint. Bill Walker might... but no one on this team is.

    1. i agree with your response but im not saying raptors will be championship good im just saying that the raptors are just as good as the sixers(frontcourt, backcourt) but the raptors edge on the sixers is their outside shooting ability when u have a post game as good as the sixers or raptors you need those outside shooters because that frontcourt is going to open up shot oppurtuneitys. and do you really think the sixers are better than the magic or the pistons? at the end of the year im predicting the raptors to edge the sixers record by 4 or 5 if you dont think im right watch the sixers raptors game on sunday

  3. Okay now this is getting REALLY silly, you want me to watch a preseason game... in hopes that a positive outcome will prove your point, which is that outside shooters trumps athleticism and defense? I'll make you a wager. I'll bet you my lunch money that if the Raptors get blown out by 40, or blow the Sixers out by 40, its not going to send any writer into a panic about picking one or the other in their season predictions... because you see, in the real season, Will Solomon doesn't play 30 minutes a night, and in the real season, the team thats more talented/defensive-minded usually wins... I'M a huge Raptor fan, but the only thing that will stop the Sixers from being better is Brand's health if it becomes an issue. The only thing that makes the Raptors better will be ... Andrea Bargnani if he can become a 14/6 type of player.. that changes everything, also means they're not going to lose every game O'Neal or Bosh misses.. and given the history of those two, they're likely to miss 23-35 games between them. Those are 23-35 starts for Bargnani.. yeah he's very important.

  4. RAPTORS ALL THE WAY...CB4 MVP
