On Monday, Kevin Harvick, Inc. released Jack Sprague, even with being in eighth place in the points and 489 points behind his points leading teammate Ron Hornaday.

Kevin "Happy" Harvick, will be driving the No. 2 truck at Martinsville; his unnamed friends will finish the year in the truck and have yet to be announced.

Then on Tuesday, Wyler Racing announced the release of Terry Cook, he was tenth in the points standing and 567 points behind Mr. Hornaday.

Then, Wyler Racing announced that they had signed Jack Sprague to finish the year in the No. 60 Wyler.com truck and an option for 2009 if sponsorship can be signed.

From late 2005 to the end of 2007, Sprague drove for the team before leaving for KHI.

Then on Thursday, HT Motorsports announced they had signed Terry Cook to drive the No. 59 Team ASE/Harris Trucking truck for the remainder of 2008; no word from them yet about the 2009 season.

Now, Terry Cook also drove for HT Motorsports in 2007; both Cook and HT are happy to be back together again.

So while it was musical chairs in the truck series this week, it also looks like it also was reunion week and everyone's happy.

  1. Wow, it really is a game of musical chairs. I had to re-read just to make sure that I got it down right. At least they all ended up with a job!

    1. Thanks, found it interesting that both Sprague and Cook went back to their prior rides.

  2. Silly season lives in every series this year - thanks for helping us all keep track!

    1. Thanks, was interesting to see these three teams make these moves and two of them going back to there old teams. I guess that's silly season adding a new twist to it. Did read where Kevin Harvick said, that Carmichael would still be in a third truck and not in the No. 2.
But it would be interesting to see one of his Motorcross sponsors approach KHI, tell them put Ricky in the 2 truck we want to sponsor him full-time and bet they would do.
