The tit who joined Twit has quit!

So, Liverpool has the famous 12th man, huh? The famous Anfield roar that can intimidate the opposition?

Screw that!

Manchester United fans are much better. They can intimidate their own players.

Such was the plight of poor Darron Gibson. The Manchester United midfielder, who had eagerly joined Twitter after seeing how fellow team mates Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney had become popular there, set up an account with the username @dgibbo28.

Two hours later he deleted his account.

The reason?

The barrage of hate-filled (and interesting) tweets he received from Manchester United fans.

Some of them include:

@dgibbo28 your performance on saturday was one of the worst I've ever seen of any utd player. scared of the ball much?'

@dgibbo28 hasn't tweeted yet. Seems somewhat fitting after the countless anonymous performances we've seen from the 'footballer'

@dgibbo28 my mate thought you were about 33 years old in the heart of midfield! Movement like pirlo!!

@dgibbo28 team do all hard work keeping possession then u hit row Z every f***in time!!

@dgibbo28 the biggest compliment i can give you is that you are better than Carrick

@dgibbo28 You are a abysmal excuse for a footballer. You're a one trick pony - a s*** one at that. What Fergie sees in you I do not know...

Wow! Well United fans? If only you guys could scare him into playing better, huh?
