With the Major League Baseball June draft about a month away, one guy you will be hearing about as the draft approaches is Gardner Edgerton High School OF Bubba Starling.

Starling is considered one of the best hitters in the draft, and if he is still available when the Kansas City Royals pick at No. 5, it’s expected the Royals will make him their guy.

The Royals might make the decision to draft Starling, but Starling will have to make a decision of his own.

He’s 6'5'' and 193 pounds and is signed to play football (he’s a quarterback) at the University of Nebraska and is slated to play baseball for the Cornhuskers as well. He will have to make the decision whether to go to college or sign with whichever team drafts him.

And just for good measure, Starling was also a two-time All-State basketball player and played on the 18-and-under U.S. national baseball team last summer. No word yet on if Manchester United is scouting him to play soccer overseas.
