How Important is Sports in America?

Christopher WilliamsCorrespondent IMarch 19, 2017

Like many Americans, I am concerned about the state of our economy. People are losing jobs, 401Ks are taking a hit, and the housing market has never been as bad as it is now. It is depressing to even think about the direction our country is going.

The President election is less than two weeks away and no matter who is elected, there is a tough road ahead for this country to get back on track. So what does this article have to do with sports?

In times like these, sports gives us something to look forward to. No matter what, when your favorite sport or team is playing, everything you are worried about goes out the window for a few hours. If your team wins, it makes you feel that much better.

By the time you read this article do not be surprised if the state of our countries economy is even worse. As I am writing this the news is talking about how bad the market can get today. They are predicting Dow Jones will fall around 550 points today, but no matter what we have College football tomorrow.

Anyone who has money tied into the stock market would be better off putting their money on my picks of the week. If you want to invest your money into something even more profitable, invest in me. We can start off with a talk radio show and it will snowball from there. My success will trump anything the stock market can do for you.

What is the point of this article? Honestly, there is no point other than me wanting to mention how important I think sports are to our country. At some point I plan on writing on the effect sports has on our economy and why it is more than just a game. Oh and I am serious if you really want to invest in me.
