According to Ryan Feldman of TheHoopsReport.com, Reggie Jackson may have an NBA Draft promise from the Portland Trailblazers. The Blazers own the 21st pick and everything is looking like Jackson will be a Blazer.

Jackson and his agent cancelled all workouts awhile back and Jackson didn’t even show up at the Chicago Combine. Some thought that Jackson was injured but the Hoops Report strongly believes that Jackson has a promise from Portland.

Feldman brings us back to the 2009 draft where Jon Brockman, who also cancelled all his workouts and was under the radar, was drafted by Portland with the 38th overall pick.

He also reminds us the same thing happened with Elliot Williams in 2010, who subsequently was drafted by Portland with the 22nd pick.

Another promising factor in this rumor is the fact that the Blazers are openly shopping Andre Miller to multiple teams.

If everything is as it seems, Jackson will be taken by Portland with the 21st pick. Don’t be surprised if Jackson also acquires a shoe deal with Under Armour.

Last year we saw Greivis Vasquez who attended Maryland; an Under Armour sponsored school, and received a shoe deal with UA once he was drafted. Jackson attended Boston College, which is an UA sponsored school as well.
