The Denver Broncos called, and Tatum Bell answered. Possibly while working as a cell phone salesman the last couple of months. At any rate, Denver has just brought back its most recent 1,000 yard rusher.
Bell joins the Broncos after their core was depleted by injuries, losing four of their five running backs to injured reserve.
The Broncos traded Bell prior to the 2007 season in a deal that brought Dre Bly to Denver, and he was the number one tailback heading into the season for the Lions prior to being released.
In his last stint with the Broncos, when he was a second round draft choice—not a free agent acquisition—Bell ran for 1,025 yards and two touchdowns to help lead the Broncos to the AFC Championship game.
Bell is expected to dress for the team's game in Atlanta on Sunday.
Denver also picked up former Carolina running back Alex Haynes, who was a college teammate of fellow Broncos Brandon Marshall and Matt Prater at Central Florida.
Haynes (5'10" 230) is a second year player who has three career carries for three total yards. He is not expected to dress Sunday.

It's great that we have Tatum back, but we really do need to fix our defense- our offense is already good, just plagued with injuries... can't wait for the game Sunday!
