I do wish the tabloids could get their stories straight.
Whilst some are busy reporting Peter Kenyon’s latest words—for what they’re worth—about Chelsea’s lack of intent to buy when January comes around, others are busy linking us to just about every available player, plus a few who are well and truly tied to contract.

We’ve had Geovanni, Dos Santos, Thierry Henry, Michael Owen and yes, even Robinho again—depending on which particular paper you happen to share your cornflakes with.

Surely there can’t be many more players on the Chelsea agenda can there? Of course there can—as long as there’s column inches to fill anyway.

This time, it’s another of Barcelona’s "wonderkids", 17 year old Guy Asulin.

Now the youngster did only sign a three-year deal in the summer, so you’ll have to use your imagination a bit here. But the News of the World assures us he "favours a move to London", so I’m sure it wouldn’t be a problem for the Catalan club to let him go.

Now, imaginations at the ready again because here’s the reason we could be signing a player already linked with a move to Spurs in the January transfer window—because his international team-mate Ben Sahar is already on our books.

I know, I know, you’re thinking it’s a little far fetched—until you read that Asulin’s agent is none other than Pini Zahavi.

Make more sense now?
