Two weeks into the NBA season and we're already talking "MVP", or "MAP" as I like to call it. So far, no one looks more explosive than Amare Stoudemire of the Phoenix Suns. Through his first eight games Stoudemire has averaged 24.6 points a game, not to mention a 49 point performance against the Pacers last Wednesday, and 8.4 rebounds a game.

Ever since returning from micro-fracture knee surgery in 2006, Amare has torched the league. He developed his free throw shooting (88%), and his mid-range game, which has allowed him to shoot over 62% from the field this season (No other Power Forward can defend this guy other than maybe KG).

LeBron, Kobe, Paul, and Pierce are all going to be in the hunt this season, but if there's one player that you know is going to stay consistent with his production, its Amare Stoudemire...come on, the guy plays next to Steve Nash and Shaquille O'Neal.

  1. Great Article! I love Amare he is a total BEAST! I think if he continues his production he could be in for an MVP season or as you like to call it "MAP" season.

    1. Thanks

  2. Nice article. I agree that STAT is a beast but, he still needs to work on his defense and hustle. At times he still seems to fall asleep on D. I also hope his ego Doesn't grow out of control.

    1. Thanks man, yeah, he does have some defensive lapses.
