So I was on my way home tonight and got a chance to talk to Rick Nash on my cell phone?  I had no idea that it was him.  He asked me if I was coming to the game tomorrow, and told me he ran into my mom in line at JoAnn Fabrics.  He was just hanging out with his girlfriend getting some good old shopping done.  I had no idea it was him, but it was pretty cool to get a chance to talk to the captain.

Now more special teams….

Let’s hope we can get this part of the game together here soon enough.  First, they need to maintain better movement of the puck in the zone.  They need to pass it around get the other team out of position and look for the simple play or take the shot.  Let’s also hope they quit scrambling so much on the penalty kill.  Sometimes they get caught chasing the puck and it leaves guys open for chances on our net.  Thank God we have had Mason back there to make some great saves!  This guy has really filled in well up here.  It should be interesting what happens once Leclaire gets back in the fold.  Pazzy has been practiced and has said that he is feeling much better.  So more questions on tap for the cbj…  Do you carry three goalies? Do you send Freddy down?  Do you move Mason back to continue his development?  Let’s hope they make the right and the smart decision with this move.  I can definitely say that the blue jackets might be in the market for a trade or signing of a big defenseman or center if they continue to stay in the race.  I hope once Nash gets back on pace that the cbj get back on track in terms of their special teams.  Right now he is on tap to score 45 to 46 goals this season.  I hope he can pick it up because this player is capable of scoring over 50 goals each season.  So let’s hope the CBJ get some things on track and tighten down some bolts here as they continue to grow and gel.
