NFL, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Preview/Prediction

The fierce and classic rivalry is fired up, as both teams need the win in the NFC North divisional game.

Green Bay isn't the post-Favre team we thought it would be; in fact, the team is currently 4-5 and only one game out of the divisional lead (below).

Minnesota   5    4

Chicago      5    4

Green Bay  4    5

Detroit       0    9

Meanwhile, Chicago picked up their pieces after last year, even without Devin Hester playing his same perfect game.

Minnesota got up from the slow start and rose up next to these teams with playoff sights.

Green Bay is having a tough time. With two straight away losses, the team walks back into Green Bay, happy to see their home field.

Chicago also is coming off a loss, they lost in a hard-fought battle by seven against the undefeated Titans.

Let's look at the boys heading the team. Kyle Orton is suppose to be back off his ankle injury, but he is still probable. The Bears sure hope he does, even though Rex Grossman didn't look half bad against a tough Titans team.

Still, the Packers' secondary have multiple players that will be heading to Hawaii, and are ranked third in the league. Its hard to see a Chicago QB have much of a day.

Aaron Rodgers is still technically injured, but he has been playing. Look for him to have a good day though—Chicago has a 30th-ranked pass defense. That is a path to good yardage for any quarterback.

Behind Aaron, Ryan Grant doesn't have as good as a day. Last week, his yards per carry was just under five. The fourth ranked Chicago will slow him down, but Grant knows how to surprise. Don't be shocked if he has a breakout day and get 100 yards.

Matt Forte got a slower day against the Titans, but they have the leagues best defensive line. He will bust out against the Packers line, and make the Chicago offense a much more balanced line.

Things to Remember

Green Bay has a great home crowd.

It will be COLD! Don't be surprised if their isn't much throwing.

At the same time of this game, Minnesota will be playing the fierce Tampa Bay Bucs. If the Vikings beat them, they would look very strong and these two teams will be very nervous.

The PICK: Green Bay: 26—Chicago: 17
