- Leon Powe is a very underrated basketball player. Like Danny Ainge, he has the ability to get the most out of his skills. and like Dennis Johnson he has a knack for the clutch shot or the death knell.
- Everyone is out to make a buck in this troubled economy. Word is that the Giants are charging as much as $10,000 for PSL in their new stadium.
- I'm shocked at Pete Van Weiren's sudden retirement, but I can't say I blame him. It's hard to create chemistry with someone new, and Skip Caray's sudden death clearly had an effect on him.
- Who know's who'll win the BCS. Ball State now has as good as chance as anyone.
- RIP Herb Score, a promising lefthander whose career was tragically cut short by a line drive.
- Happy days are on the horizon Cubs fans. Take it from a Red Sox fan, all curses end some day.
