Manchester United might be lagging behind in the Premier League but Ferguson hasn't lost any sleep over it.
The season following a double was always likely to bring high expectations and Sir Alex isn't exactly overwhelmed by the start made thus far.
Samir Nasri's brace at Emirates sunk United, but Ferguson's men have no plans to give up just yet.
Liverpool, Chelsea, and Arsenal are all ahead of the Red Devils with Aston Villa and Hull City hot on their heels.

Not many bookies are in favour of United retaining either of their titles this season and they can't really be blamed because Sir Alex's men haven't made a flying start to their season.
Cristiano Ronaldo might be back amongst the goals but as Patrice Evra earlier pointed out, its the "consistency that's lacking."
United's season could be jolted by their trip to Japan for the FIFA Club World Cup as fatigue is always a concern after Christmas.
Sir Alex Ferguson is well aware of United's problems and has admitted United aren't in a very comfortable position yet:
"We're not where we'd like to be but we know what we're needed to do," the Portuguese winger said.
Manchester United might not be favourites to lift either the Premier League or the Champions League as the odds are tipped quite heavily against them but to defy the odds is what Champions are required to do..
Manchester United don't lack quality in any department with the likes of Dimitar Berbatov, Wayne Rooney, Carlos Tevez, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Ryan Giggs amongst their ranks so let's not count them out, just yet...

Trust me, im certainly not counting them out.
I know their going to be their come may, fighting for their crown......unless there is a shock meltdown for no explainable reason....we can only hope ;-)

They've got talent, money and experience. Remember, they were behind Arsenal for the entire first part of the season last year and ended up winning the double.

i don't think anyone's counting them out yet are they? all the big four in contention of winning it, and i reckon that could be the case come the last game of the season.
