Welcome to my news coverage from the darts world , with plenty of action over the next few weeks we are in for some great arrow chucking , let's go .

Grand Slam Of Darts 2008 .

PDC World Champion John Part was handed a tough draw for the 2008 PartyPoker.com Grand Slam of Darts on Wednesday by local football legend Steve Bull at the Wolverhampton Civic.

Bull pitted Part with last year's surprise semi-finalist Kevin McDine, Hawaii 501 Wayne Mardle and women's World Champion Anastasia Dobromyslova in Group D for the £356,000 event set to wow audiences across the globe from November 15.

Reigning king Phil Taylor, who produced sensational arrows to win the inaugural tournament last year, will be gunning for the £100,000 winner’s cheque alongside Dutchman Vincent van der Voort, Andy Jenkins and former Lakeside finalist Phill Nixon in Group A.

BDO World Champion Mark Webster will swap oche time with Wildcard Qualifier Colin McGarry in Group C as well as former World Masters winners Mervyn King and Holland's Michael van Gerwen.

In-form duo James Wade and Adrian Lewis clash with Holland's Niels de Ruiter in Group G, leaving last year's runner-up Andy Hamilton alongside Australia's Simon Whitlock, Alan Tabern and Brian Woods in Group B.

Five-time world champ Raymond van Barneveld must see off this year's PDC finalist Kirk Shepherd, reigning World Masters champion Robert Thornton and UK Open runner-up Gary Mawson to progress from Group E.

Group F gives Wes Newton, who won the ITV Wildcard Qualifier last month, the chance to build his reputation up by going arrow to arrow with seventh seed Terry Jenkins, Colin Lloyd and Darin Young leaving sixth seed Gary Anderson to duke it out with Kevin Painter in Group H.

    1. Cheers mate for the pick , Relax , dont worry about it , ill help you , now that F1 is off until March I have time to move Poker forwards and hep you get darts under way properly , throw in the odd football article and I think you will find 2 versatile writers covering 3 sports , 4 when F1 returns !

Did you see any of the Pro celeb darts ? it was funny , I seen the Webster , tindall , barneveld , tufnell match and it was a right crack , i think tuffers got 78 at the highest ha ha , i can get 100 with my eyes closed now .

    2. No I forgot to bloody record, what a muppet I am haha!

I got a 180 yesterday, eat ur heart out tuffers haha!

Now that F1 is gone and it will only be fleeting articles on that, and I don't write about footy anymore, I'll have time now to do the darts section, cheers for this as well mate.
