Fernando Torres has a blinding first season in the Premiership, yet his team finished fourth in the league, were knocked out by Chelsea in the Champions League and League Cup, and were knocked out by

After winning the European Championships with Spain this summer, he will surely be hungry for more success. Liverpool have fallen at their first hurdle, getting knocked out of the League Cup by Spurs last night, but Torres insists their eye is on the league title, something they haven’t won since 1990. As concerned as he is with Liverpool winning the Premiership, he still is aware that if United win the title this season, they equal their record, something he recognises would massively upset the fans.
“When I arrived everyone talked about the league,” said Torres. “We have won it 18 times and Manchester United 17, if they win it this season then they draw level and the fans don’t want that. I think 90 per cent of Liverpool fans would prefer the league. The rivalry between the two sides is so intense, it is like Barca and Madrid or even stronger.”

Yeah.
Torres is a genuine Scouser, he hates United as much as the Scousers do.
Liverpool humiliated United without Torres and Gerrard at Anfield, but I´m sure Torres can´t wait to terrorise you mancs at Old Toilet.
And...it doesn´t look like United will catch Liverpool. Even if Liverpool don´t win it, then Chelsea is looking extremely good.
If we do win it, then we just go further ahead of United, like we have been for the last 100 years or so.
