Chicago went to .500 tonight after blowing out the Indiana Pacers at the United Center.

The Bulls, led by rookie phenom Derrick Rose, were able finish their home stand with back to back victories before beginning their six game road trip.

Derrick Rose scored 23 points and had eight assists.  This is his fourth 20+ point game in his 10-game career.  He also went 3-5 from the three-point line.

The Pacers were able to take the lead in the second quarter 41-40 after some hot shooting by Granger and Jack, but the lead was short lived.

Chicago came back and took a 55-47 lead into half time.

The third quarter was a dogfight as the lead bounced back and fourth between teams.  Rose had 12 of his 23 points then.

The Bulls had an eight-point lead going into the fourth quarter and they built on that lead throughout.

Chicago won 104-91 and moves to 5-5 on the season.

Nocioni added 20 points while Ben Gordon put up 19.

The Bulls also showed great defense tonight racking up 14 steals and 48 rebounds.  They shot 92% from the free-throw line making 25 of their 27 free throws.

  1. they looked better overall on Sat. They seemed to be palying together and not just playing catch up to Rose. I hate this circus trip its usually what kills us for the rest of season if we struggle at all. Hopefully they can find some consistency the enxt couple weeks. But i was impressed how some players stepped up on Sat. but they need to watch the fouls, silly fouls by guys especially Noah. but other than that solid effort!! good recap on this game..

  2. I love the new backcourt of Rose and Gordon. The two have anchored the scoring after Gordon was inserted into the starting five. If Rose hits threes like that lookout. How great is it to see the team play good fourth quarters and close out games? Big change from the last couple of years.
