From a football pundit to a arm chair pundit they both know that Michael Owen is a quality player who any manager would probably want in his team! Joe Kinnear currently has this privilege but for how much longer one wonders?
Michael's contract runs out at the end of the season and with growing speculation that he will be sold in the January transfer window for a little as 5million.
Owen's record is impeccable and i think there are six-plus teams desperate for this man who never fails to score!
1. Aston Villa
Aston villa have been linked with Owen before and with the goals from the likes of Agbonlahor as well as assist from young. Owen may be the final piece in the jick saw to help villa break into the top four.
2. Chelsea
Once again been linked with Owen. Nicolas Anelka is on top form and Drogba close to full match fitness the deal looks far away but a poacher at Chelsea would probably lead to European domination.
3. Arsenal
Arsenal haven't been the same since Thierry Henry and with all the fabulous youngsters who just sometimes cant seem to put the ball in the back of the net, Owen would be great addition to Wenger's faltering Squad.
4. Everton
Owen is a boy hood Everton fan and with Everton not really living up the their expectations, Owen would just be the man to help out, right?
5. Liverpool
Ohh this would be a fairytale return to the club were Owen had his best spell and maybe he could help them with their long wait for a title? But with the likes of Torres, Keane, and Kuyt, it looks unlikely.
6. Spurs
The Harry Rednkapp Effect is well and truly in place at Tottenham and the would love to have a star player like Owen in their side to link up with the likes of Bent and co. Could it happen? Maybe...

I hope he stays, but of the teams you mentioned I would guess Villa would be the more likley destination.

Newcastle are still rudderless and Mike Ashley is not any close to finding a new buyer. The chances of Owen staying on at Newcastle in such a condition come January is remote.
Of the teams mentioned, Everton or Villa seem probable destinations.
But then again, would Owen consider going back to the continent if nothing suitable comes along from the EPL? An Italian league team was rumoured to be interested in him (they denied the story).
Its a shame anyway that someone with his pedigree is unable to do ply his trade in the highest level of the game.

Owen isn't going anywhere. He will get a run of games in the first team and start scoring goals again. People forget what a quality striker he is, he'll eventually get going again and the media's tune will change.
