The Flyers announced before the game that on Tuesday November 16, they will unveil their new retro orange jersey. The team will wear the jerseys as an alternate uniform. Most teams around the NHL are using their alternate jerseys as retro. So it's no surprise the Flyers will go with their 70’s thread, i.e. the “glory years.”

 

First period: Goal—Flyers: Gagne (11) breakaway goal, 53 seconds in, unassisted.

Niittymaki is in net tonight. Career 10-0 against Atl. Only second goalie in NHL to have an undefeated record against one team in at least 10 games, the other is Detroit’s Chris Osgood who is 17-0 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
