The Titans welcome Brett Favre and the Jets to Nashville this weekend. CBS recognizes it as the top game in the AFC as Jim Nantz and Phil Simms make the trek to Music City for the call. One wonders how many times Simms will bring up his son's name Chris during the game being that he's the Ti

tans #3 QB. My take on the game is the Titans will look to establish the run early and have success as Chris Johnson breaks off a big run or takes a screen pass for a TD sometime in the first half. The third quarter sees more of the same when Kerry Collins hits Bo Scaife over the middle for a touchdown and LenDale White puts the game on ice when he scores on a short TD run late in the fourth quarter. On defense The Titans contain Favre for the most part forcing him into a couple of interceptions that Finnegan and company pick off. The Titans go to 11-0 knocking off the Jets 24-13. Go Titans!

  1. Three words, Eight and Three.

  2. Nobody runs on the jets.

    1. The Jets haven't seen a back like Chris Johnson yet so hopefully that changes things. We shall see.

  3. It should be an interesting game. The Jets have scored on their opening possession the last 5 games. That has set the tempo. The Jets game plan will have to keep the Titans defense off balance or it will be a long day for Favre. But, if it is close in the 4th quarter, the Jets have confidence in their 2 minute offense. However, on the other side, the Jets defense hasn't been able to stop a hot QB. Collins has been lighting it up as of late.

Is it who has the ball last wins? GO Jets. I hope Favre saved his best game of the season for this one.

    1. I appreciate your take but Favre will be going against the best secondary he's seen so far this year and he's due for at least one maybe two interceptions. Yeah the Jets D made Cassell look like an MVP and Kerry is in a good place right now which I hope continues. Who knows they two could play again in the playoffs. We shall see.

  4. Well, the Jets scored on their opening drive for the 6th straight week. The Jets were able to chip away at the Titans defense and move the ball (28 first downs). Well, Favre did throw in interception, but the Titans didn't capitalize. The Jets surprised me how they handled the Titans offense. It wasn't close and the Jets had everything together for that game.
