How could I be so foolish?

Did my hatred of the unintelligent Canuck fan blind me from what was there all along?

Whatever the case, Vancouver has been rolling lately, unbeaten in their last eight games.

The 'Nucks hold top spot in the Northwest with their 12-6-2 record, and they're doing it by committee.

Even the most biased Flames, Oilers, Leafs or Habs fan has to admire the likes of Alex Burrows, Ryan Kesler, Mason Raymond, Kyle Wellwood and Jannik Hansen, and wish they were donning the jersey of their team.

Along with the best goaltender in the league, Roberto Luongo, the Canucks have second and third line scoring to go with the Sedin's.

The subtle additions of Steve Bernier and Pavol Demitra have made this team deeper than they have been in years, and the scary part is...there is more money to spend.

Vancouver doesn't need to make any additions up front, but if they did add the likes of a Mats Sundin, or plucked either Heatley, Alfredsson or Spezza away from Ottawa, this team would rival the Red Wings.

If Mike Gillis takes a "don't fix what isn't broken" approach, this Canucks squad is still deep enough to make a run into the playoffs.

If Gillis decides to improve upon this already impressive version of the 'Nucks...well let's just say fans of Vancouver can start planning its long awaited parade down mainstreet.
