Arsenal Football Club is currently facing many problems; The Gunners have been regularly inconsistent throughout the course of the season which has sparked defiant resentment from the Gunners' faithful, who are now calling for Arsene Wenger's head.

William Gallas was stripped of captaincy and the decision was welcomed by majority of the Gunners who are were shell-shocked to see their side blunder in a 3-0 away defeat at Manchester City which followed a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium.

Darkness has spread over a part of North London and we caught up with Bleacher Report expert and Arsenal's Community Leader Shyam Parthasarathi to get his views on what the future could possibly hold for the Gunners.

"Arsenal's inconsistency has hit them hard, William Gallas has already been stripped off captaincy, do you see any chances of a speedy revival for the Gunners?"
To be honest, it's difficult to predict Arsenal's form - it's almost as if we're watching two different teams play sometimes. Does that have anything to do with William Gallas? Of course it does - considering that he's come out and said certain things to the press, it makes you wonder whether there is much camaraderie amongst the Arsenal players, or whether they were simply having a little battle of words during a game. Gallas was clearly a poor leader though, and that really reflected in a lot of Arsenal's performances, which were devoid of direction.

Gallas being stripped off his captaincy doesn't exactly come at a good time for Arsenal - but, I'm relieved that it has been done. I was always of the opinion that anyone but him could captain Arsenal in a more capable manner. A captain should show that he is one through his performances and Gallas, in my opinion, has easily cost Arsenal up to six points in the Premiership. On top of that, he came out and said the most idiotic thing that any professional would ever say about his colleagues - it was almost as if he had never played in a professional football team before.
Either way, him vacating the captaincy at Arsenal can only be a good thing. He was far too volatile to be a captain, and spoke more than he ever did anything on the pitch. Thierry Henry did a better job than Gallas as captain - and Henry wasn't even that good as a captain.
Gallas as captain, or not, Arsenal's chances of a speedy revival is completely down to the likes of Robin van Persie, Emmanuel Adebayor and Cesc Fabregas. If they show the heart to put in performances like especially Cesc did against Manchester United, then of course Arsenal can bounce back quickly. If not, Arsenal could be in for a long, purposeless season ahead.

We find it necessary to agree with Shyam, unless these young lads show the heart to dominate their opponents consistently, Arsenal has a 'purposeless season ahead'.
Personally, I feel Arsene Wenger needs to broadminded, the exuberance of youth is a positive move but sometimes you need a couple of experienced and reliable lads on the pitch to hold their nerves and guide the younger ones through the dark tunnel.
We at Bleacher Report would like to thank Shyam Parthasarathi for devoting his precious time to us for this edition of Bleacher Report World Football Pundits.
Until next time, it's good bye.
