According to globosporte.globo.com, last Saturday Vitor Belfort got to second place in doubles tennis at the Pro-am Master Tour of Tennis in Angra Dos Reis, Rio de Janiero, Brazil.
Belfort and partner Marcel Saliola lost in the finals to Cesar Kist and Omar Ayoub in a very close match up that saw Kist/ Ayoub winning 7-5.

Belfort known as the phenom was a young MMA standout possessing good boxing and submission skills.
He has spent most of his career in the UFC and has notable wins over - Tra Telligman, Scott Ferrozzo, David Abbot, Wanderlei Silva, Bobby Southworth, Heath Herring, Gilbert Yvel, and Marvin Eastman.
Belfort currently holds the Cage Rage light heavyweight title and currently fights with the promotion Affliction where he fought and beat former UFC fighter Terry Martin at Affliction: Banned.
An all-around good athlete Belfort has competed in the sports of boxing and jiu jitsu, receiving his black belt from the late Carlson Gracie.

Ha, nice find Jared. I wonder who Belfort is going to be fighting at Affliction's "day of reckoning." It was heavily rumored to be Gegard Mousasi but that talk has disappeared.

yeah I heard that too, I think that would be really exciting but Mousasi fights at Middleweight although and Belfort at light heavy of course that is only one weight class up so it is very possible

Belfort actually fought Terry Martin at 185 in his last fight. Mousasi has actually expressed interest in moving up to 205. So they could probably fight at either weight.

If Belfort was somehow good enough to take on Rafael Nadal in a tennis major, would there be a single male spectator in the audience? And, if there was, would we just assume that they were gay or would we offer them a counter argument?
