This was written the day Sean Taylor died.
For the past few days I have searched for the right words to say one year later ... and found none. The raw immediacy may have passed, but the emotional echoes remain.
Rather than grasping for new words, then, removed as they must be from the truth of the moment, I humbly offer here the words that poured out, almost unbidden, on that cold, rainy day.

I read this somewhere last year, I think on Redskins.com. I just cried again reading it. Mark, this piece is unbelievable.

Wow mark you are truly an amazing writer! Just read this one after watching a Replay of UH and Washington on youtube. Colt and his favorite receiver Davone Bess had "ST" on their helmets for the game. The irony of it all is that it was Colt's greatest comeback and now he's a Redskin and Bess is in Miami. I firmly believe in divine intervention. Did Sean send Colt to the Skins? A little food for thought. Check out that video, they both gesture to the to the "ST".
MALAMA PONO SEAN!
