First and foremost, HAPPY THANKSGIVING to everyone! I wish you all well and hope that you have a wonderful holiday with friends and family!
For football fans, we are treated to not only a great day of feasting, but a full plate of football as well this Thanksgiving day with three helpings of games! But before I get to those, here are my results from last week.
Week 12 record: 10-6
Overall predictions record (starting week 3): 94-50 (65.3%)
Not my best week, but it was right on average. There were a few surprises on Sunday that hurt my picks, but that is to be expected in the NFL!
As for this week...
Thursday's games
Morning (12:30pm EST)
- B/R Ticket Guide
TEN @ DEN
My Pick: TEN by 10
Thoughts: After losing to the Jets last week, the Titans may have actually benefited more then if they won. The are now focused on just winning and clinching the division, then the first round bye... and they are close. With only 5 weeks left in the regular season, they still have a two game lead in the division. So winning in Denver this week will push them propel them toward that goal. Look for the running game to get back on track this week and for LenDale White to touch the ball a lot!
Afternoon (4:15pm EST)
SEA @ DAL
My Pick: DAL by 17
Thoughts: With Romo back in the lineup, the Cowboys are playing better, and if the Seahawks decide to not double team Terrell Owens, they may suffer the same fate as the 49ers last weekend! Tony Romo has played in two Thanksgiving day games and has thrown for 9 TD's in them. And this week going against a struggling Seattle team, he may make those numbers even more gaudy!
Evening (8:15pm EST)
ARI @ PHI
My Pick: PHI by 6
Thoughts: The Cardinals are not the same team on the road as they are at home. And Philly is really good at home usually. The Eagles defense should be able to put an immense amount of pressure on Warner and change the dynamics of his game, causing him to make mistakes. Then there is the McNabb situation from last week. If you have ever played a sport, and were benched for some reason, you know that the next time you get on that field you are going to try and show out! I look for McNabb to do just that! The Eagles have a great running back in Westbrook, but they are not a running team in the least which means that McNabb will have a ton of passing attempts to accomplish what he wants to! This could be a barn burner!
