In the latest saga of potential player's donning English colours in the future, AC Milan's Kaka has said that it would be "great" to play in the Premier League one day.

He has been linked with moves to Chelsea and Manchester City, though the latter seems more interested. Not long after Robinho signed with City for a record fee, it was rumoured that Kaka was the next piece of the puzzle.

The reigning FIFA World Player of the Year has been linked with a move to England on a regular basis. Sky Sports News caught up with the Brazilian playmaker before Milan's UEFA Cup match with Portsmouth.

"I like very much the Premier League," he said.

"It's a very tough championship, but there are a lot of big players and a lot of big teams, so now I think it's the best championship in the world. So, one day maybe, I don't know when, but it would be great to play in England."

When asked if he would be interested in joining City, Kaka responded: "I have a lot of friends that are playing there, so I watch some games. I speak with Robinho and Elano sometimes about Manchester City."

''I'm very happy that they want to take me from Milan, but I think it is very difficult.''

Real Madrid were connected to a move with Kaka in the past, but the Brazilian has expressed the gratitude he feels towards the Serie A club for bringing him to Europe as a 21-year-old.

Only if his goals differ from Milan's will he consider a move elsewhere.

''One day if I have to leave AC Milan it will be because my objectives, my targets, are not the same as AC Milan's targets,'' he said.

''Maybe then it will be time to leave AC Milan. Now I think we are on the same road, so it is very difficult to leave, but I don't know.''

David Beckham's possible short stay at the San Siro has also excited the 32-year-old due to the possibility of playing alongside the England legend.

''When he comes, he will see what Milan is like and he can maybe stay a little bit more. I don't know, maybe until the end of the season or who knows, for another year?

''I like him, he is very positive. He has a lot of talent with the ball, kicks it well and shoots nicely. It will be very nice to play with him, I'm very happy.''

  1. And why not? He'll eventually join the Premier League, but I doubt it'll be with Manchester City. There's a question I have though: Is he uncomfortable with Ronaldinho coming in to AC Milan and kind of stealing the spot light from him. I mean, it was Kaka's team, you know what I mean?

So, that may be a possibility.

    Nice reporting man.

    1. I doubt Ronaldinho's coming to Milan has anything to do with it. Playing with countrymen is fine with him I should think. i would like to see Kaka in the EPL though one day. Thanks for the comment.
