2008 Pro Wrestlers Who Have Passed Away

jason savageCorrespondent IDecember 12, 2008

Luckily 2008 was a year where we didn't have any major wrestling tragedies and deaths.

However, a few well known wrestlers of years gone by did pass away to the big squared circle in the sky.

Here are a few of the better known wrestlers who left us this year...

Killer Kawolski, 81, 10/13/26-8/30/08, heart attack

Gary Hart, 66, 1/24/42-3/16/08, heart attack

S.D. Jones, 63, 3/30/45-10/26/08, stroke

Killer Kawolski was before my time but he is responsible for many of today's top stars thanks to his wrestling school, including 12 time champ Triple H!

I do remember Gary Hart from his days in the Von Erich territory in the 80's (WCCW). He can be seen giving his thoughts on WCCW on both the WWE released WCCW DVD and the independantly produced "Heroes of World Class" DVD.

S.D. Jones was with the WWF/E from the mid '70s thru the mid '80s, the latter of those years he was mostly a "jobber," losing to the top stars of the '80s including a loss in just nine seconds at the first WrestleMania in 1985 to King Kong Bundy.
