Who would have thunk it? After the "dream team" lost on the road to the Seattle Seahawks, the Philadelphia Eagles needed a miracle to have any shot at making the playoffs. Have they been given that chance? Here's what needs to happen for the Eagles to be the most feared playoff team with a .500 record in NFL history.

1. A Week 16 win against the Dallas Cowboys

It wasn't long ago when Tony Romo and the Cowboys lost to the Arizona Cardinals. Why can't Mike Vick take a better team into Dallas and come out of there with a victory? After a dominating victory last week, there is no reason that this Eagles football team can't put up the same kind of offensive numbers against a Dallas team that just surrendered 34 points to New York at home.

2. The New York Jets need to beat the New York Giants this week

Has an in-state battle ever been so important Philadelphia fans? Root for Mark Sanchez, Darrelle Revis and the rest of the Jets to tear apart the Giants in their own stadium. It is very possible that the Jets win this game. After a horrendous outing last week against the Eagles, they tend to bounce back for coach Rex Ryan after poor performances. If this happens, Eagles fans, you've advanced to Week 17 with a shot.

3. A Week 17 win at home versus the lowly Washington Redskins

They are eliminated from playoff contention, and if Week 16 works out the way it realistically could, I would be a betting man that Philadelphia wins this game big.

4. What the Eagles need to happen when the New York Giants play the Dallas Cowboys?

It will be crazy, but Eagles fans will be rooting against the Giants in Week 16 and for them in Week 17. And it is true, Eagles fans. If the New York Giants win at home versus the Dallas Cowboys, and all three teams finish with 8-8 records. The Philadelphia Eagles will be hosting a playoff game in the great city of Philadelphia more than likely against the Atlanta Falcons or Detroit Lions.

So here it is in more simpler terms,

Week 16: PHI - win @DAL; NYG - loss @NYJ

Week 17: PHI - win; DAL - loss @NYG

Good luck, Philly fans! The Dream Team is still alive!!!
